Guild

It all depends on the woman.
Genesis Rabba

The Guild is an embracing arm of our Temple helping to make our congregation a welcoming and active community. The organization enriches the lives of our congregants through its existing programs and also by creating and implementing new events. The Guild's membership is composed of a cross-section of the congregation. The Guild welcomes the opportunity of addressing the needs of the Temple family by expanding its existing programs and establishing new programs requested by congregants. Temple members are encouraged to participate in the existing programs and to become involved in the creation of new and innovative ventures.

Our current activities include:
  • The High Holy Day Receptions.
  • The New Members' Dinner.
  • The "Empty Nesters" Dinner.
  • The Oneg Shabbat following Sabbath services.
  • Providing a gift to each Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
  • Providing gift packages to our college students.
  • Providing a gift to each Confirmand.
  • The duplicate bridge dinner and dessert.
  • Participating in Mitzvah Day.
Two new endeavors of the Guild, destined to become annual events are:
  • The Progressive Dinner at congregants' homes.
  • The Mixed Doubles/Round Robin Tennis Evening.

The Guild seeks to enroll all of the women of the congregation to its membership roster and thereby create an ever-expanding and involved organization.
