DESCRIPTION:The headlines tell us that the American and Israeli Jewish comm
 unities are facing a schism. Can what we share as a people hold us togethe
 r? Together our congregations will explore timely and complex issues facin
 g the Jewish people in an era of power and prosperity living in two differ
 ent homes. We will examine stories of Jewish peoplehood\, contemporary cha
 llenges to the notion of Jewish peoplehood\, and imagine new models of rel
 ationship as we thrive in two different parts of the world. Together\, we
 ’ll get beyond partisanship to the values that we all share.\nThis 9-ses
 sion course was created by the Shalom Hartman Institute and will be taught
  on Zoom by Cantor Askenazi (JCCH)\, Rabbi Goldberg (KTI)\, Rabbi Goldsmit
