This past week we delighted in several modern midrashim that brought women’s voices to our tradition. But the – very legitimate – concern was raised about the authenticity of these narrative interpretations. This week we will learn a bit more about how midrash works and why it was a favorite (necessary?) tool of the ancient rabbis.
