2021 High Holy Day Services & Events

Important information about in-person services:

To ensure the High Holy Day season at Emanu-El is a success, please pay special attention to the COVID-19 guidelines and protocols:
– all congregants and guests will now be required to wear masks during High Holy Day services
– congregants and guests are required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test in order to gain entry to indoor temple spaces.

 

If you are fully vaccinated, submit your proof of vaccination ahead of time by providing an image of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or Excelsior Pass via our online form here. If you are not vaccinated and wish to attend, proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test will be required when you enter the sanctuary. Antigen tests must be administered within 24 hours of entry and PCR tests within 72 hours of entry.

In person Yom Kippur afternoon services are not open to the general public this year.

10:15am, Rosh Hashanah Nature Walk at the Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary* (in-person)
11:00am, Tashlich at the Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary Beach* (in-person)

* The Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary and Beach are located behind Playland Park. Drive through the Playland parking lot and past the Dragon Coaster. We will meet at the Edith G. Read Sanctuary parking lot.
