Everyone knows the importance of preparing a last will and testament, a document outlining how one’s assets are to be divided upon death. But what about nonmaterial assets? For more than 3,000 years Jews have written ethical wills, documents that convey the nonmaterial to the next generation. Learn about this fascinating literary genre and work to create our own ethical wills. There may be no greater gift you can give to your children than your written legacy of values, hopes, and dreams.
