Byrns, president and founder of the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy, will share a rich and riveting lecture about Samuel Untermyer (1858-1940), one of the most prominent members of the community of German-Jewish elite in America. As president of the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League until 1938, he was called “Hitler’s Bitterest Foe” by the British press.
