Mimouna is a traditional end-of-Passover feast celebrated by the Jews of North Africa. It marks the return to eating bread and other chametz following the week of matzah. At this Shabbat we’ll enjoy North African Jewish desserts and pastries and celebrate the Jewish culture of this part of the world. It is estimated that in Israel last year, over two million people celebrated Mimouna – this year Emanu-El joins that celebration!
