Ben Shahn’s art captured the big issues of his time, from the Great Depression to the Vietnam War, while also reflecting his engagement with spirituality and Jewish texts. The exhibition features 175 works from the 1930s–1960s, including paintings, prints, photographs, and designs. Together, they reveal his shift from documentary realism to more poetic, universal visual language. Cost: $36/person (lunch not included). Meet at the museum (1109 5th Ave at 92nd Street, NY, NY) or contact Jane about carpooling. Following the tour, join us for lunch at Lox! RSVP here.
